About the practice

Based in the heart of Brixton, Formation Architects is a RIBA Chartered architectural firm and were one of the first practices within the AJ100 to make the transition to Employee Ownership. The creation of an Employee Owned Trust has given them more design freedom and is encouraging greater staff engagement and an entrepreneurial culture, which is uniting the whole team and establishing the next chapter in the practice’s legacy. In addition, annual profit share bonuses are distributed to all staff.

Sectors they specialise in

Their work is concentrated into four main sectors; residential (affordable to SuperPrime), commercial, hotels and master planning. Their work is based across most of the London Boroughs and increasingly in the outer boroughs and Cambridge.

The practice offers a full range of design services from concept/feasibility to construction delivery and the buildings they design are unequivocally modern.
